Laundry Room

• There is a laundry room located in the basement of the building for residents’ use.  Exit out of the elevators on the basement level; take a right and an immediate left.  The laundry room is on the left at the midpoint of the hallway.
• The laundry room is open 24 hours, 7 days a week.
• A Smart Card is required.  Residents can buy or refill smart cards via the card reader located in the laundry room.  The card reader accepts credit and debit cards for a minimum of $10 and a maximum of $75 per purchase.
• There are 2-sized washers, all front-loading: 9 “standard” twenty-lb washers & 3 “extra capacity” thirty-lb washers.  Equipment is metered as follows:
  • Standard Washers: $1.75, with an additional $0.25 and $0.40 for extra options
  • Extra Capacity Washers: $2.75, with an additional $0.25 for extra options
• There are 12 “standard” twenty-lb dryers & 4 “extra capacity” thirty-lb dryers, metered as follows with drying cycles set per manufacturer’s recommendations:
  • Standard Dryers: $1.50 for a 54-minute cycle, with an additional $0.25 for 9 extra minutes
  • Extra Capacity Dryers: $1.50 for a 30-minute cycle, with an additional $0.25 for 5 extra minutes
• Note that the building contracts out for laundry equipment and does not repair the machines or give refunds in the unlikely event a machine malfunctions. Report any issues regarding the equipment to the Resident Manager, Michael Ryan.
