Composting

• The Compost Sealed Bin exists in the basement hallway outside the compactor room Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
• During evening hours and weekends, the compost bin will not be available and secured inside the compactor room.
• A copy of the Guidelines will be posted on each floor in the stair with the garbage chute and recycle bins and also outside the basement hallway compactor room.

YES, DO COMPOST:

• ALL leaf and plant waste, food scraps, and food-soiled paper products
• Fruits and vegetables
• Meat and bones
• Dairy
• Prepared foods
• Soiled napkins and paper towels
• Tea bags and coffee filters
• Uncoated soiled paper plates and pizza boxes

NO, DON’T COMPOST:

• DO NOT put this compostable trash down the garbage chutes and only into the new compost bin
• DO NOT compost trash such as diapers, personal hygiene products, animal waste, wrappers, non-paper packing, and foam products
• DO NOT compost recyclable materials
