Does the laundry room accept cash?
No, the laundry room requires a smart card to operate all the machines. There is a card reader in the laundry room that will allow you to add money to your card, however, the card reader accepts credit and debit cards only in pre-set amounts up to $50. The card reader does not accept cash. If you do not wish to use a credit or debit card then you can leave your card with the Resident Manager along with a check made out to Hercules. The Resident Manager will send the card in and have your card re-valued. It might make sense to have 2 smart cards so that you can use one while the other is sent to the vendor.
Can someone help change the fire alarm battery?
Yes, ask the doorman to call one of the building staff. The same holds true with carbon monoxide detectors.
